What We Do

The Junior League organizes and manages  fundraisers throughout the year. Because our League is volunteer-based, almost every dollar earned through these efforts is allocated back to our community projects or on the training and education of our members. Each month, our league offers at least one volunteer opportunity, as well as one opportunity to support one of our community partners either with monetary donations, or purchasing items from a wish list.

Our Past Projects

In 1927, the Wednesday Club of Flint applied for membership in the Association of Junior Leagues of America. This group of 32 women was officially accepted as the Junior League of Flint, Michigan, Incorporated in March of 1928.

From small group sewing for local charities, the organization has grown to over 150 Active, Sustaining, and Provisional members who make substantial contributions to the Flint area through volunteer service, financial assistance, and community leadership. Our Community Partners include:

  • Whaley Children's Center
  • Voices for Children
  • The Shelter of Flint
  • YWCA of Greater Flint
  • Ele's Place
  • Odyssey House
